The busier one gets, the more one may sense the need to pause and regroup. Studies since 1990 increasingly show the benefits of prayer for one's well-being. So take a moment during Orientation to choose from a variety of prayer forms offered simultaneously, and add something to your "toolbox" for coping with the coming semester. Try something new or re-engage a longstanding practice from 4 categories, at various “prayer stations” around Interfaith Plaza: recited prayers (for example, poetry, Rosary, Liturgy of the Hours); singing (hymns, praise songs); kinesthetic (for those who can't sit still - for example, walking the Labyrinth or making art); and meditative (mindfulness, centering, breathing prayers, journaling, Eucharistic Adoration). Offered from Catholic, Jewish, Muslim and Protestant perspectives and members of all faith traditions (or none) are welcome.
